Bay Minette Municipal Airport is a city government-owned public-use airport located 3 nautical miles southwest of the central business district of Bay Minette, a city in Baldwin County, Alabama, United States.
Baldwin Aviation serves as the Fixed Base Operator and offers full-service fuel and ground services. With grant assistance from the FFA and the Alabama Department of Transportation Aeronautics Bureau, the airport has also installed the Automated Weather Observing System to provide continuous, real-time information on airport weather conditions.
In 2019, the Bay Minette Municipal Airport received the Quality Pavement Award for its recent update on the runway. The Alabama Asphalt Pavement Association presented the award for the design and construction administration of Bay Minette Municipal Airport Runway 8/26 Rehabilitation. This project included the rehabilitation (mill, overlay, and groove) for the runway and replacing the precision approach path indicators. The $1.45 million dollar project was funded primarily through grants awarded by the FAA passed through Alabama Department of Transportation Aeronautics Bureau, with the City of Bay Minette and ALDOT each providing 5-percent matching funds. The work was performed by Mobile Asphalt Company LLC.
