Sand Volleyball Courts

Two sand volleyball courts were added in 2021 at the Bay Minette Municipal Complex at 1300 Bradley Avenue. This park also includes the municipal pool, Eddie Hartner Tennis Complex, Bark Minette Dog Park, Barbara Dobbins Walking Trail, and the Universal Playground.

Sand volleyball is a rapidly growing sport in the area, with many of high school and college-level athletes taking part during their off season from school play.

The construction of the courts was funded through a grant from a private citizen and constructed by city staff. Plans are to expand more courts in the future to allow for additional tournament play. The sand volleyball courts are open for public use and can be rented through the Bay Minette Recreation Department.

In additional to recreational uses, the courts serve as the home base for the North Baldwin Storm. The Recreation Department also offers free clinics throughout the year to help introduce the sport to young players.
