Schools in Bay Minette, part of the Baldwin County School System, are SACS accredited and offer a wealth of extracurricular activities and educational opportunities including art, music, dance and drama. The schools also offer Pre-K, afterschool programs, and numerous summer enrichment camps. The high school offers an Advanced Placement Academy and Dual Enrollment opportunities through participating colleges. Classes are equipped with one-on-one technology. Laptops are provided to each student in third through twelfth grades and our younger students are issued iPads to help stay on the cutting edge of technology.
Higher education is the foundation of a strong work force and Bay Minette is at the forefront of workforce development. Coastal Alabama Community College offers more than 100 programs of study, as well as top-notch athletics.
Huntingdon College’s partnership with Coastal Alabama offers access to Bachelor’s Degree programs. Within an hour’s drive to Mobile or Pensacola are multiple four-year universities and colleges including the University of South Alabama.
The North Baldwin Coalition for Excellence in Education foundation works with all eight schools to provide additional resources and enrichment opportunities for students and faculty, provide opportunities for teachers and staff to develop innovative projects through grants and invests in programs that have a positive impact on student success.
