Senior Citizens

Bay Minette Area Senior Center

Bay Minette Area Senior Center is at 600 Blackburn Avenue in the former Bay Minette Intermediate School facility.  Dorothy White serves as the Senior Services Coordinator at BMASC  and helps to coordinate events and activities at the Center.

The senior center provides a gathering place for individuals 60 years and older to come together for services and activities that support and encourage their involvement in the community.

There is no fee required to be a member.

Activities include dominoes, cards, bingo, and bridge weekly games, art classes and monthly potlucks. Seniors also take part in fun excursions to area hotspots.

Special events and activities are planned each month and some events are set each week. All are welcome to attend any event or just come and socialize.

If you would like to learn more about the programming offered, or want to sponsor a special activity, call 580-1676.

S.A.I.L. Nutrition Center

The SAIL Nutrition Center is also located at the Senior Center at 600 Blackburn Avenue. The City, in partnership with the South Alabama Regional Planning Commission, provides meals for ELIGIBLE persons sixty (60) years and older at least five days a week with particular emphasis on low-income and minority elderly. Once an individual is accepted into the program, congregate meals are available at the Nutrition Center (SAIL) or participants can receive home-delivered meals.
