The archives feature the Baldwin Times newspaper from 1906 to 1973.
This project has been in the works for a long time and has finally come to fruition.
It began when previous library director Charlotte Jones Cabaniss Robertson procured grant funding to have the Baldwin Times newspaper, housed on microfilm at the Alabama Department of Archives and History, burned to CD.
This project was on the back burner for several years and after much research I found a great company to transfer the files on CD to a searchable database.
Advantage Preservation has created a beautiful site from which to view these wonderful old newspapers with just the click of your mouse.
