North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce and the City of Bay Minette will observe Veterans Day with several special activities planned for Friday, Nov. 10, including a breakfast, parade, and ceremonies. The day’s activities will begin at 8 a.m. Friday with breakfast at the John F. Rhodes Civic Center. This free event is open to veterans and their families.
The annual Veterans Day Parade will begin at 10:15 a.m. from Bay Minette Elementary. The new route will travel along East 9th Street to West Hoyle Avenue, traveling along Hoyle to East First Street to Pine Street, then to D’Olive Street and around Courthouse Square concluding at the Eternal Flame. At the conclusion of the parade, a brief ceremony will take place at the Eternal Flame. Anther special ceremony will take place at the Korean War Memorial at the Bay Minette Public Library, beginning at approximately 11 a.m..
Following these ceremonies, lunch plates will be available for purchase for $12 each at 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤 at the intersection of East First Street and Hoyle Avenue. Brad Lawley will also provide live musical entertainment. This event is sponsored by American Pride Petroleum and benefits American Legion Post 188 in Bay Minette.
