Golf Cart Inspections

The Bay Minette City Council has adopted an ordinance to regulate the use of golf carts on roadways. Per Municipal Ordinance 1033, permitted golf carts are only allowed on designated streets within the city’s limits. Those operating a golf cart on non-designated streets and without a permit or driver’s license may be ticketed.

Bay Minette Police Department personnel will perform golf cart inspections from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 6. These inspections will take place in the rear parking lot of the new Bay Minette Justice Center at 403 D’Olive Street. Inspections are required before a golf cart permit sticker can be issued.
