SRO Motorcycle Ride

Bay Minette Police Department will hold a Motorcycle Ride on Saturday, March 9, to benefit its School Resource Officer program. Proceeds will go toward the SRO Hour Glass Program, which provides an outlet for police personnel to interact with young people in the community.

Beginning at Baldwin County High School, the motorcycle ride will travel the scenic route through Monroe County and back and will end at Beef 'O' Brady's in Spanish Fort for lunch. Registration opens at 7 a.m. and kick stands go up at 8:30 a.m. The cost is $20 per bike with $10 for an additional rider. For questions or additional information, call the BMPD at 251-580-2559 or the SRO stationed at the Bay Minette schools.

With its Hour Glass Program, selected youth ages 12 to 17 get the chance to take part in fun excursions like hunting and fishing, life skills sessions such as vehicle maintenance, and the opportunity to tour businesses and industries. The SROs also work with local school counselors to select youth to go "Shop With a Cop" for Christmas. Fundraisers are held throughout the year to help support the programs. For more information, or to make a donation, contact the Bay Minette Police Department at 251-580-2559 or mail to Bay Minette Police Department, c/o School Resource Officer, 301 D’Olive Street, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
